Trays are used to place items you wish to dry such as sliced fruit or vegetables. It is recommended that you use a mesh liner for sliced product or a solid liner for wet product to protect the tray. The trays are then stacked on the base with the lid placed on top.

The mesh liner is a plastic mat insert, which flexes for easy removal of the most fragile or the toughest dried-on food and used when drying small produce which may slip through the spokes of the tray. Use of the mesh liner also aids in keeping the tray clean and reducing cleaning effort.

The Solid liner (lightly oiled first) is used when making roll-ups or drying soups and meals. It is also used on the bottom tray when drying marinated meat for beef jerky or when drying flowers and herbs.
